This project aims to nurture the whole child morally, intellectually, physically, socially and aesthetically. Through the year long programme, pupils are equipped with 21st century skills (Confidence, Collaboration and Curiousity) and will demonstrate the school values (CHAMPS - Caring for One Another, Humility in Attitude, Aspire for Excellence, Morally Upright in our Actions, Passionate Learners, Steadfast in Effort). The project is effective as it enhances pupils’ classroom learning and allows experiential learning to take place as pupils carry out their projects collaboratively. As pupils present their ICT based project work, pupils, teachers and parents are able to observe the outcomes and the holistic development of the pupil.

E-Learning Portal (MC Online)
E-Learning allows the child to learn at her own convenience, and at his own time and pace. The obvious advantage is that learning is customized and the student cultivates skills of independent learning and in critical thinking.
Independent learning is a life-long process that stimulates thinking and reflection and promotes the continuing growth of a student’s capabilities and powers. They connect new knowledge with their experiences, interests and needs, and finds meaning for them.
East Coast Primary provides a dynamic and supportive environment for the pupils, faculty members and other teaching staff to continually improve their learning and teaching. All pupils have home and school access to this online portal. Pupils are encouraged to use this portal for independent learning.

AV Team - Media Assistants Training
With the development of the Internet generation, multimedia skills are now vital in today’s society. The AV Team aims to prepare our students for the demands of a multimedia-dependant future. Students will be exposed to different kinds of audio-visual equipment through their participation in the AVA club and will receive a valuable learning experience throughout their journey with us.
The main objectives of the AVA Club are to introduce our students to basic media elements and functions, and equipping them with videography and photography skills. To achieve this end, AVA Club members will undergo a professional media training programme. The programme comprises a photography course and a video production course. The photography course will teach students how to make use of the different components of professional photography equipment, as well as photography techniques and post-production photo touch-up. The video production course is a comprehensive course which will expose the students to the different elements of video production, like scriptwriting, lighting, sound, camera handling and filming techniques. Students will also be taught the fundamental skills of video editing.
The school hopes that AVA Club members will be able to put the skills that they learn to practical use in the real world. We aim to have our trained members cover the photography and videography of school functions as well as community events.
Media Assistants Training
Leadership training day was held on 16 January. 2 Media Assistants per class took part in this training.
The training of the Media Assistants is to equip student leaders with skills to help their teachers in managing the AV equipment in the classroom. Media Assistants are trained to setup the AV equipment like the classroom PCs, the visualisers, and the video projectors.
