In line with the key desired outcome of PERI recommendations to balance the acquisition of knowledge with the development of skills and values, our Primary 1 and 2 pupils in East Coast Primary School will undergo 8 PAL modules (4 in P1 and 4 in P2), providing our pupils with broad exposure in two areas – Sports and Outdoor Education, and Performing and Visual Arts.
Each PAL module is conducted 2 hours a week, during curriculum hours, every Tuesday, with each module lasting between 7 to 9 weeks.
These modules focus on developing the social emotional competencies in our children, and aims to facilitate the well-rounded development of our pupils in the five learning domains (cognitive, moral, social, aesthetics, and physical).
On the left are some photos of our Primary 1s in action during their recent Outdoor Education module, conducted in Term 3 (Weeks 4 and 5).
